How can we help?
Answers to the questions we expect most, and how to reach a person.
Questions people ask
How do I restore my subscription on a new phone?
Sign in to the same Apple ID or Google account, open NCLC Ready and tap Settings > Restore purchases. There is no NCLC Ready account, so the store is what remembers your subscription.
I switched from TCF Canada to TEF Canada (or the reverse). Does my subscription carry over?
No. Each test has its own app, TCF Canada Prep: NCLC Ready or TEF Canada Prep: NCLC Ready, and each app has its own subscription. Cancel the one you no longer need in your store account, then subscribe in the other app.
How do I cancel or change my plan?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google. On iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > your name > Subscriptions. On Android, open Google Play > Payments and subscriptions > Subscriptions. The app also links there from Settings > Manage subscription.
AI feedback says I need to consent first. Why?
Your text or transcript only leaves your phone when you ask for feedback and agree to the pop-up that names where it goes. Writing and speaking have separate consents, and you can withdraw either in Settings > Privacy Center.
Speaking practice cannot hear me. What can I check?
Speech is transcribed on your device only, never in the cloud. First check that NCLC Ready has microphone and speech-recognition permission. If French on-device recognition is not installed, the app shows how to add it (on Android this is usually the French offline speech pack). You can also type your answer instead.
Is my voice recorded?
No. The app never saves or uploads audio and creates no voiceprint. Only the text transcript stays on your device, and it is sent for feedback only if you choose to.
Does the app work offline?
Practice questions, listening audio, mock exams, model answers and your progress all work offline. AI feedback on writing and speaking needs a connection.
